The air forces of South Korea and the United States have staged joint exercises to strengthen their combined capabilities, the South Korean military said on Friday (April 19).
The two countries kicked off the 15-day joint drills known as Korea Flying Training last Friday (April 12) with some 100 warplanes. The exercises are an annual event designed to sharpen the combined readiness of their military forces.
Special operation forces from the two countries on Thursday (April 18) also staged an airborne training exercise with paratroopers as part of the annual drills, the South Korean military said. – Report from Reuters
