Gunmen kill one, shoot three people in New York's Bronx
Gunmen killed one and shot three others in the Bronx, New York City, on Tuesday (April 16).
NYPD Assistant Chief Benjamin Gurley told media suspects arrived on scooters and fired approximately ten rounds at the victims who were gathered on a street corner.
Three of the victims, aged 23 to 37, sustained gunshot wounds to their legs, while a 29-year-old individual was shot in the chest and died from his injuries.
The suspects were reportedly wearing masks and hoodies and fled northbound on Townsend Avenue towards the Cross Bronx Expressway.
Gurley added that the police have taken one male into custody but are still uncertain if he is directly connected to the incident. – Report from Reuters
