Ito ang tiniyak ni White House National Security Advisor #JakeSullivan sa Pilipinas para masegurong makapagsasagawa ng resupply mission ang bansa sa Ayungin Shoal (Second Thomas Shoal).

Sinabi ito ni Sullivan sa 2024 Aspen Security Forum nitong Biyernes, July 19.

Aniya, malinaw nilang naipaabot sa China na sakop ng Mutual Defense Treaty sa pagitan ng Amerika at Pilipinas ang Sierra Madre.

“We believe it is a stabilizing point, it’s one we have reinforced publicly and very much reinforced directly to the PRC,” saad ni Sullivan.

“But in terms of specific concepts of operations or the exact way in which the United States would be engaged, our preference is to have the maintenance of the status quo there, the capacity of the Philippines to do these resupplies, we will continue to support the Philippines and stand behind them,” dagdag pa niya. #News5 I via Reuters
