Ipinakita ng The SMART Tire Company sa buong mundo ang gulong na hindi na kinakailangan ng pressure at hangin.

Ang National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) ang orihinal na nag-develop ng airless tires. Ito ang ginagamit na gulong para sa mga rover na pinaaandar sa buwan. Ngayon, susubukan itong i-commercialize ng naturang kumpanya para magamit ng mga tao sa lupa.

Dahil walang hangin, hindi ito napa-flat at mas matibay umano kumpara sa gomang gulong. Dagdag pa nila, makatutulong itong mabawasan ang polusyong dulot ng mga karaniwang gulong.
