Pormal nang nilagdaan ngayong Lunes, July 8 ng Pilipinas at Japan ang Reciprocal Access Agreement (RAA) na magbibigay daan sa dalawang bansa na magpadala ng tropa sa parehong teritoryo para sa training at joint exercises.

Sinaksihan ni Pres. Bongbong Marcos ang paglagda nina Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko at Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro ng kasunduan na mas magpapalakas sa ugnayan ng dalawang bansa.

“Your presence here increases our confidence in the importance that the Japanese government puts on this very important agreement that we have. And I’m very glad that we have come to this day,” ayon kay Pres. Marcos Jr.

Para naman kay Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa, isa itong “great achievement” para sa lumalalim na bilateral relations ng Pilipinas at Japan. #News5
