Binigyang diin ni Pres. Bongbong Marcos sa 2024 Walang Gutom Awards na target ng kaniyang administrasyon na maabot ang zero hunger sa bansa.
Ayon sa Pangulo, malaking hamon pa rin ito dahil halos 12% ng pamilyang Pilipino at tatlong milyong households ang nakararanas pa rin ng gutom sa huling tatlong buwan ng 2022.

Malayo pa aniya sa ideal ang ranggo ng Pilipinas pagdating sa global hunger index na may 14.8 score, katumbas ng moderately hunger. Mababa ito kumpara sa regional score ng east at southeast Asia na nasa 8.2.

Hinimok din niya ang gobyerno, NGOs, pribadong sektor at international community na magtulong-tulong para masolusyunan ang hamon na ito.
