Jaime keeps Eleazar on a leash, forcing him to comply with his every demand. Eleazar’s heartbreaking decision to step down as President puts Moises’ fate in jeopardy. Moises feels betrayed by Eleazar’s decision, while the Sagrado family celebrates Rafael’s rise to power as the new President of the country.

Meanwhile, Diego blackmails Mercedes with new information about Moises’ whereabouts. Mercedes orders Moises’ murder in a desperate attempt to end it all. Diego pays the price for failing to complete his mission.
