Ayon kay Tarriela, nalaman nilang may mga sugatang tauhan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines #AFP bandang 10 a.m.
Idineploy ng PCG ang BRP Cabra at BRP Bagacay para mabawi ang mga rigid hull inflatable boat #RHIB na hinatak ng China Coast Guard #CCG at magsagawa ng medical evacuation para sa mga sugatang personnel.
“We only got to retrieve the damaged RHIB around 12 noon, so it took us two hours for us to save it… itong damaged RHIB,” paliwanag ni Tarriela.
Sinabi din niyang nakikipag-usap na sila sa CCG para ipaalam na may mga sugatang AFP personnel sa BRP Sierra Madre at nais nilang maglagay ng medical evacuation.
“Well, there is no specific guidance [or] instructions from CCG that we can’t retrieve. But as far as our radio communications, we are the one telling them we are going to carry out medical evacuation,” dagdag ng PCG commodore. #News5
