On The Scene: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un commemorated the 30th death anniversary of his grandfather who is North Korean founder Kim Il Sung on Tuesday (July 9). The North’s state news agency KCNA released several still photographs of Kim and high-ranking officials visiting Kumsusan Palace of Sun, where the embalmed bodies of Kim Il Sung and his late son, former leader Kim Jong Il lie. Kim also attended a ceremony held in Kim Il Sung Square and a concert in Pyongyang marking the anniversary.
