Layon ng Republic Act (R.A.) No. 12000 na pag-isahin ang mga probinsya ng Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, at Siquijor Island at gawing administrative region na tatawaging Negros Island Region (NIR). Ang Republic Act No. 12001 naman ay naglalayong palakasin ang tax collection system ng bansa para makalikha ng revenue, trabaho, at investment. #News5
