London’s Heathrow Airport is staging live music shows this summer, in an effort to spotlight up-and-coming British artists.
The first set of performances were held in Terminal 5. Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Runner Up Olivia Nelson was among the artists who took to the stage, as well as acoustic rock band China Bears and folk singer-songwriter The Halfway Kid.
With the airport expecting 30 million passengers this summer, Heathrow says performers will have /”access to an audience bigger than Glastonbury/”.
The next shows will take place on July 12, a date which the airport is expecting to break passenger records, and July 24. – Report from Reuters
