Isa sa mga umano’y hacker ng private, government websites at ilang bangko na naaresto ay data security officer mismo ng isang news organization, ayon kay Cybercrime Division Chief Atty. Jeremy Lotoc, base umano sa extrajudicial confession ng suspek.

Iniharap ang tatlong hacker sa media ngayong Biyernes, June 21 kasama ang dalawa pang naaresto kagabi, June 20.

“‘Yung isa po rito ay data officer ng Manila Bulletin. As a matter of fact, ang ina-alleged niya base sa kaniyang extrajudicial confession, ang may hawak sa kanya at nag-uutos sa kanya na mag-exploit ng mga system ay isang editor ng Manila Bulletin,” ayon kay Atty. Lotoc.

“Galing daw sa editor ‘yung direction, kung ano ‘yung iha-hack. Pagkatapos ma-hack ‘yung editor na raw ‘yung bahala mag-exploit kung ano gagawin niya,” saad pa niya.

Dagdag pa ni Atty. Lotoc, nakita sa kalagitnaan ng kanilang imbestigasyon na nauuna umanong mag-post ng article ang naturang editor bawat hacking incident. #News5
