Italian firefighters carried out a rescue operation after a family got stuck in a small river after heavy rainfall hit the northern region of Piedmont where small rivers were turned into mud waterfalls.
A family of three, including a 3-month-old baby, were rescued during the night after they were caught in the sudden rise of Orco torrent waters in the village of Montanaro.
In the nearby village of Noasca, the small river was turned into a muddy waterfall as firefighters and excavators were working to remove debris caused by a landslide from a road. – Report from Reuters
