Sa kabila ng pagsuspende ni Pres. Bongbong Marcos ng reclamation projects sa Manila Bay, nagpapatuloy pa rin umano ang dredging activities.

Ayon sa ulat ng Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas (PAMALAKAYA), namataan ang ilang vessel para sa dredging operations sa baybayin ng Rosario, Noveleta, Tanza, at Naic sa Cavite Linggo ng umaga, August 13, apat na araw matapos ang pagpapatigil ng naturang proyekto.

“These dredging operations that complement various reclamation projects in Manila Bay are supposed to be covered by the suspension order from the President. Small fishers in Cavite lose 80%-90% of daily income since dredging started two years ago,” pahayag ni PAMALAKAYA National Chairperson.

“We reiterate that unless an official Executive Order or a legislation banning reclamation is issued, President Marcos, Jr’s verbal declaration is toothless and holds little weight,” dagdag pa niya. #News5
