On The Scene: At the /”Feltz Bagels/” bakery in Montauk, New York, the bagels are made entirely out of felt. Customers get to choose from 13 varieties of bagels – each hand-sewn and available plain or filled with a selection of New York staples. The bakery is the latest addition to Sparrow’s portfolio of exhibitions made from felt, having previously crafted the interiors of a pharmacy, a supermarket and a convenience store from the material. The art installation took the artist eight months to complete. Visitors to the exhibition can purchase any of the items on the shelves like they would in a normal bakery.
