Nilagdaan na ni Pres. #BongbongMarcos ang Republic Act No. 12009 o ang New Government Procurement Act (NGPA) na layong mapabilis ang procurement process ng gobyerno, ngayong Biyernes, July 20.

“The NGPA streamlines the procurement process from three months to just 60 days by standardizing procurement forms and institutionalizing electronic procurement,” saad ng Pangulo.

Isa na ring batas ang Republic Act No. 12010 or ang Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act (AFASA) na layong protektahan ang publiko sa cybercriminals at criminal syndicates sa pamamagitan ng pagpapataw ng mas matinding parusa para sa mga ilegal na gawain gaya ng online selling at investment scam, phishing at iba pang uri ng scams.

“This new law mandates financial institutions to implement necessary safeguards to protect our citizens accounts and this is essential in this time as cybercriminals use technology to defraud Filipinos, causing not only personal economic loss but also a loss of trust in financial institutions,” dagdag pa niya.
