Tumaas ngayon ang presyo ng manok hanggang P30 kada kilo, mula hanggang P220/kg ay P250/kg na ito sa mga pamilihan sa Metro Manila. Dahil sa sobrang laki ng itinaas ng presyo, tinitingnan ngayon kung may nagmamanipula ng presyo ng manok sa merkado.

Pinabulaanan naman ito ni Atty. Elias Jose Inciong, tagapangulo ng United Broiler Raisers’ Association at sinabing nakaapekto ang pagkalugi sa nakaraang quarter, tagtuyot dulot ng El Niño, at mataas na presyo ng sisiw sa pagsirit ng presyo ng manok.
